Who is DM&T?

Dansk Mode & Textil (DM&T) has been the natural hub of Denmark’s fashion and textile industry since 1895. Today, it’s a modern trade and employer organization representing over 375 companies, providing professional advice, networking, and political advocacy for the entire sector.

DM&T delivers industry-specific guidance in HR law, trade law, CSR, technology, export, and digital trends. The organization creates optimal conditions for member companies and serves as the industry’s preferred knowledge center, ambassador, and alliance developer.

With 24 employees across offices in Herning and Copenhagen, DM&T operates as a non-profit organization and part of the Danish Employers’ Association. The organization plays an active role in Copenhagen Fashion Week and holds membership in EURATEX, the European fashion and textile association. DM&T is also nationally responsible for GINETEX in Denmark.

Since May 2024, DM&T has expanded its representation to include the sports industry through the acquisition of Sportsbranchen.dk. Their vision is to develop alongside the industry, preparing for tomorrow’s challenges by listening to members and staying connected to the world around them.

Challenges

DM&T faced the challenge of an aging website platform, with low performance, limited possibilities for user engagement and a cumbersome content editing flow taking up valuable time and causing frustrations. DM&T wanted to both empower their content editors with a streamlined workflow, improve site performance and increase their user engagement by delivering the right content.

How we collaborated

The team at Cobraid was involved with the project right from the start. Sparring on both technical aspects such as tech stack, system architecture and cloud cost / benefits, as well as comprehensive UI/UX workshops to determine the new look & feel, user journeys and content editor requirements. The resulting project was implemented as an Astro frontend backed by Contentful CMS, Elastic search and Azure B2C user management. After successful deployment, Cobraid and DM&T continues to collaborate on ongoing support and development on the system.
